The Future Investment Initiative (FII) is a major investment summit held annually in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since 2017. As one of the largest gatherings of global investors and innovators, the FII aims to showcase business and investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and the region. The 2022 edition of FII was held from October 25 to 27 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition Center, which served as the main venue. With the theme of ‘Investing in Humanity: Enabling a New Global Order’, FII 2022 convened more than 7,000 decision-makers, investors and entrepreneurs from around the world to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the global investment landscape.
Riyadh Front Exhibition Center served as main venue
The Riyadh Front Exhibition Center is a state-of-the-art facility located in the Saudi capital Riyadh. Opened in 2021, it offers over 134,000 square meters of flexible exhibition space, making it the largest exhibition center in the Middle East region. Designed by renowned architects Foster + Partners, the venue features a distinctive honeycomb glass facade and cutting-edge technology throughout. For FII 2022, the main plenary hall hosted keynote speeches and panel discussions with business leaders and government officials. Other halls and meeting rooms were used for breakout sessions on specialized topics like sustainability, healthcare and entertainment. The spacious lobbies also provided areas for networking and deal-making among attendees.
Strategic location enabled convenience
The Riyadh Front Exhibition Center is strategically situated within the King Abdullah Financial District, the new financial hub of Riyadh. Its proximity to hotels, restaurants and transport links made it a convenient location for FII attendees. Many of the major hotels hosting delegates were located within a short drive or walk, enabling easy access. A metro station connected to the Riyadh Metro network is also close by. The on-site parking facilities with over 2,500 spots helped accommodate the vehicles of attendees. The location’s closeness to Riyadh’s business district and airport also minimized travel time and logistics requirements.

With its flexibility, scale and advanced amenities, the Riyadh Front Exhibition Center was well-equipped to meet the complex needs of the forum. Features like retractable seating, integrated audiovisual systems and built-in electrical points optimized the spaces for conferences and exhibitions. The expansive loading bays enabled quick setup of displays and booths. The in-house catering services, managed by expert chefs, provided meals and refreshments for thousands of attendees each day. Onsite medical facilities and prayer rooms offered additional services and convenience. The expertise of the venue’s management team was also key to delivering a seamless event.
